Justine Chilton graduated with honors with her Masters of Public Administration in May of 2017. Her research interests include the relationship between the privatization of prisons and the War on Drugs, and other issues related to systematic racism. During her time at North Carolina State, Justine worked with Dr. Coupet and the Center for Family and Community Engagement on a project related to Community Child Protection Teams (CCPTs) in North Carolina. As part of this research, Justine and Dr. Coupet traveled to Alaska to learn about that state’s integration of Child Protective Services and community groups. They then conducted interviews with members of CCPTs in North Carolina and worked with a small team to complete the NC CCPT End of Year Report for that year.
